PLEASE NOTE: North Dakota has just passed some new regulations concerning their Concealed Weapons Permits. The changes will probably take effect on August 1, 2009 if they do it as they have in the past. The $25.00 fee will probably go up. Additional training and shooting qualifications will probably be added because they are going to try to qualify for reciprocity with as many states as possible. Prior permits will be grand fathered in so if you want to avoid having to undergo the additional training and qualifications... get your North Dakota permit now.
Neal L. Martin is a North Dakota Concealed Weapons Test Administrator located in Grand Forks, North Dakota, serving the Grand Forks area, Eastern North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota. Testing is available seven days a week, including evenings and holidays, by appointment. Non-Residents may also apply for and receive Concealed Weapons Permits. This includes legal resident aliens with a "green card". North Dakota currently has reciprocity with 24 states.
Note: North Dakota applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
As of August 1, 2005 the North Dakota Concealed Weapons Permit test consists of only a short written examination and without a shooting practical. You can download the ND CWP manual from the ND BCI website to prepare yourself for the open book test. Or, I can provide the use of a manual at the time of the testing. The North Dakota test normally takes approximately 15 minutes of your time. I have everything you need to take and pass the test including the application forms.
